Skippy Park - Landsborough

You will find Skippy Park just over 2km south of Landsborough on Old Landsborough Road.

If you have got kids still on training wheels, take them down to Skippy Park.

It has a criterium track which is a nice flat and wide 2.2km bike track, just perfect for general bike riding, training and of course getting the kids off of the training wheels.

There are also clean, modern toilets, BBQ's with shelters, a cool little kids playground with big sandpit and climbing tree.

2013 Update :

In 2013 the park had a major upgrade with additional playground installed with two flying foxes and a rope climbing structure (spider web thingy). See the photos below.

Even better news is that a further upgrade is in the planning stages, with a big pile of dirt left on site to be used for ....... ???

Whats Good About Skippy Park

  • Having the wide flat bike track meant it was easy for our kids to get off their training wheels.
  • The bike track is a great way for the family to all ride together as long as you remember to give way to the faster riders doing their training.
  • Good playground with plenty of sand, and it makes a nice change seeing kids climb on a tree in a park but watch your little ambitious kids as they sometimes get out to the end of the highest branch and don't know what to do.
  • BBQ shelters are provided and a good clean toilet block which is close to the playground.

Whats Not So Good About Skippy Park

  • Could be more shade and under cover areas provided.
